Certifications

We are committed to sustainability in all aspects of our business; in our raw material purchases, in our internal practices and policies and in our distribution chain.

We purchase raw material, sawmill residues, only from suppliers who follow established sustainable harvesting criteria and chain of custody.  This way we ensure that the products we produce comply with all forestry and best management practices, do not contribute to environmental degradation and are sustainably harvested.

We strive to make our production process as efficiently and environmental sound as possible.  This makes good business sense and contributes to the environment.  We try to reduce energy consumption and to use renewable energy as much as possible.  We incorporate recycled goods into our manufacturing process and we require our transportation and material handling to be as efficient as possible.

As part of our external certification processes, we are required to make sustainability and carbon footprint reports for our production.  We do this and strive to comply with best management practices and industry benchmarking.

Our vision is to be an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable solid biomass supplier chain that contributes to a low carbon economy. We comply with certification standards to provide assurance that our woody biomass is sourced from legal and sustainable sources.

Currently, we have the following certifications:

  • ENplus® A1
  • PEFC Chain of Custody
  • SFI® Chain of Custody
  • SFI® Certified Sourcing
